Our Dinner Keynote Speaker is April Schmidt.
April Schmidt was born and raised in the rural community of Caro where her parents taught her the benefits of a hard work ethic, the value of family, and the importance of being true to what you believe. She has served as the Executive Director of Positive Alternatives pregnancy center in Caro since 1994. April shares with others her story of unplanned pregnancy, healing from the death of a child, her work at Positive Alternatives, and addresses the Sanctity of Human Life and the partnerships we need with all prolife groups. She currently lives in Unionville with her husband, Joe, of 33 years. Joe and April have two grown children, Bethany and Andrew. Both children are married, and have blessed them with four grandchildren.
We have identified our long range goal as the addition to our Constitution of a Human Life Amendment which will protect all human beings from creation, through fertilization or its equivalent, until natural death. Until that is accomplished, we will continue to move within the framework of the law to educate, inform, and encourage our fellow citizens to reverence the lives of others, born and unborn.
